Clash Of The Titans

Finishing off the La Machine series today, where I left off yesterday. The machine Long Ma, the mighty dragon horse, made his way along the War Museum, firing off a mouthful of flame as he came face to face with Kumo the spider. Here are videos #10#11, and #12.

The two engaged in a face off, one that involved fire, smoke, intimidation, and the ultimate capitulation of Kumo. Long Ma emerged triumphant, regaining his stolen temple, and earning the cheers of the crowd. This event was an absolute delight to watch over the course of the weekend.

I took my leave of the grounds when it was all said and done, and paused to look into the windows of the Lebreton Gallery in the Museum, where all sorts of military vehicles are showcased.

My path also took me past two of the monuments close to the War Museum. One is the National Holocaust Monument, due to be officially opened later in the month. The other is the Canadian Firefighters Memorial. The statue of a fire fighter, pointing at the wall of names of fallen firefighters, was lit up from below. I was here for the national memorial service held this past Sunday, which I'll be covering over in my writer's blog on Saturday and Monday.
